Appalachian Naturals is dedicated to bridging the gap between local agriculture and packaged foods. Each of our products contain locally grown ingredients. Our hope is to make it easier for our customers to shop locally by providing them with prepared sauces that contain local honey, milk, fruit, and veggies.

Here's Something to Chew On...
Our 2009 Farm Report is in, here are the numbers:
We spent $18,600 on local farm ingredients which include buttermilk, honey, produce, and vinegars. $6,420 of that was local organic and $2,366 was out-of-state organic.
We additionally spent $14,250 on surrounding New England ingredients which include mustard (actually stone ground in the only remaining stone mustard mill in Maine), imported olive and sunflower oils from an Italian family in Ayer, Ma, and naturally fermented Miso from a producer right here in western MA!
By the end of 2009, over 60% of our ingredient purchasing was from right here in western Massachusetts and New England. Anything that we couldn't purchase locally, such as Pomegranate, was purchased from a source that follows similar ethical values that we do, working with some of the smaller industries in our global market, always placing flavor and quality first. If you would like to learn more about what we're doing to help support our local agriculture and economy please e-mail us at appnaturals@gmail.com.
